Hydrafacial is medical-grade, hydra-dermabrasion device cleanses, exfoliates, and infuses the skin with intensive serums. HF may be used to improve acne, sun damage, dehydrated skin, skin clarity, and skin texture.

How does Hydrafacial work?

HF’s 3-in-1 technology exfoliates, rejuvenates, improves acne and hydrates skin. It removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while cleansing, hydrating and moisturizing.

  • Step 1: Cleanse and peel: deeply cleans pores and softens and lifts away impurities. Gly-Sal peel solution is infused to resurface the skin gently without irritation.
  • Step 2: Extract and Hydrate: Dislodges and removes blackheads, whiteheads and sebum, allowing for painless extractions.
  • Step 3: Fuse and Protect: Infuses hydrating skin solutions and serums containing antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acids into the skin. The HF serums specifically target sun damage, blackheads and whiteheads, enlarged pores, acne, uneven skin tone and sun damage/early aging of skin.

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2892″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” image_hovers=”false”][vc_column_text]How does HF feel and is there down time?

HF is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating, painless and usually immediately effective. Results last much longer than regular facials and are cumulative when a series is done. Immediately following the procedure, your skin will have a dewy glow. This can last 1-4 weeks and best results are seen with monthly treatments.

Who is a candidate for HF?

HF is designed for all skin types, including dark and sensitive skin. Your provider will discuss additional details specific to your skin type.

How long does the HF treatment take?

Depending on whether you have a signature, deluxe, platinum, body, or lymphatic treatment, HF takes between 30-80 minutes. There are minimal limitations following the procedure, which are listed below.
Pre-Treatment Instructions:

  • Stop using any Isotretinoin products, like Accutane, for six months before treatment unless you’ve been given clearance by a clinician.
  • Discontinue the use of generic tretinoin or topical Retin-A, or exfoliating treatments, like glycolic acid or enzymes, and any acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid for at least 48 hours prior to your treatment.

  • Do not have any Botox treatments for at least two weeks before treatment. You can have Botox done on the same day as your facial, but it must happen after the facial.
  • Do not shave or dermaplan anywhere on your face on the same day as the facial treatment.

Post-Treatment Instructions

The Selphyl Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix (PFRM) system allows for the prolonged release of platelet growth factors which stimulates stem cells, prolonging hair follicle cell survival and growth.  These factors combine to extend the growth phase of hair while shortening the shed phase.  The results are increased hair thickness and hair follicle survival.  This procedure has been shown to be helpful for androgenetic alopecia (age related hair thinning).

 [/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1789″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” image_hovers=”false”][vc_column_text]

Overview of the PRP Treatment for Hair Restoration

A few vials of blood, typically 2-4, are drawn from the patient and then centrifuged to separate out the plasma rich cells, platelets, and growth factors. This layer is then extracted and injected into the skin using very fine needles. Patients typically experience a mild stinging sensation. ProNox (laughing gas) and a numbing spray may be used to further minimize discomfort during the injection process.  ProNox is available for an additional cost.  A series of 3 treatments about 6-8 weeks apart is recommended.

 [/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1791″ img_size=”large” image_hovers=”false”][vc_column_text]

How long does it take to see results?

Results may vary by patient. The first step in the process of hair growth is to slow down and halt the process of hair shedding.  We recommend following up 6 months after your last treatment to assess hair growth.  Results may be optimized by combining with a variety of medical treatments such as topical or oral Rogaine as directed by our providers.

Risks and Recovery
This organic procedure utilizing serum derived from your own blood minimizes the risk of allergic reaction, sensitivity and infection that may occur compared to other cosmetic procedures.  Mild injection site bruising, swelling or redness can occur but usually resolves after 3-7 days following the procedure and may be safely concealed with make-up shortly after the treatment. Other risks include infection, pain at injection sites, headache, and scalp tightness.  It is recommended that patients start taking Arnica, a homeopathic medication that naturally decreases bruising and swelling following procedures.

Precare Instructions:

  • Do Not take Aspirin, unless prescribed, for at least 1 week before the procedure. For optimal results and to decrease the chance of bruising at the draw site, please avoid all non-prescribed blood thinning medications and herbal supplements for 1 week prior to your appointment. Avoid taking non-prescribed Fish oil, Aspirin, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) such as such as Ibuprofen, Motrin and Aleve. Please notify your provider if you are taking Coumadin, Plavix, or any other blood thinners for any medical conditions.
  • AVOID ALCOHOLIC beverages the day before your treatment, as they can cause dehydration, and increase the risk of bruising.
  • Diet before Procedure: You should have a light meal before arriving at the office and avoid caffeine.
  • HYDRATE: You should drink at least 8 glasses of water 24 hours before your treatment and at least 12 ounces of water the morning of your treatment. Failure to come hydrated may result in suboptimal blood draw.  If we are unable to draw your blood because you did not properly hydrate, then your appointment may be rescheduled and subject to cancellation fees.
  • If you dye your hair, you may do so 4-7 days before your procedure.

Post care summary for PRP hair restoration:

  • Do Not wash your hair or use direct shower pressure to scalp for 24 hours
  • Do Not touch the injection sites for 3 days
  • Do Not swim or undertake any strenuous exercise for 3 days
  • Do Not expose yourself to long periods of the sun
  • Do Not sit in a sauna, hot tub, or Jacuzzi for 3 days
  • Gently wash your hair with a baby shampoo such as Aquaphor after 24 hours.
  • Wait 4-6 weeks after treatment to dye your hair.

Potential Side Effects:

In some very rare cases, slight side effects may occur: redness, local swelling, edema, local pain. These should not last more than a few hours, but can last up to a few days. Mild headache and scalp tightness is normal for 24-48 hours.  These are normal treatment consequences. In case of local infection, antibiotics may be prescribed.  Nevertheless, immediately contact your treating provider with any questions. Multiple treatments are needed for optimal results.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is known as a “natural filler” treatment that gives a more youthful appearance to the skin with minimal downtime. There are virtually no risks of allergies or sensitivity as PRP is derived from your own blood. PRP is actually blood plasma containing high concentrations of platelets that stimulate stem cells to help the body regenerate and heal at a faster rate. PRP improves overall skin texture, decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and eyes, and plumps hollowing areas such as tear trough grooves, cheeks, and temples. PRP can also help smooth both acne and surgical scars.

Overview of the PRP Treatment
PRP Facial Rejuvenation takes about an hour to complete. A topical numbing cream may be applied 1 hour before the treatment to the treatment area to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Next, 1-4 vials of blood are drawn and centrifuged to separate out a layer of concentrated plasma rich cells, platelets and growth factors. This layer is then extracted and injected into the skin using very fine needles. Patients typically experience mild stinging during the procedure. ProNox (laughing gas) may be used to further minimize discomfort during the injection process for an additional cost.  Injecting PRP directly into the tissue allows your body to absorb and fully utilize all the benefits of your extracted platelet rich plasma.

 [/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1790″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]

Results
PRP facial rejuvenation naturally stimulates your body’s own collagen production, and it takes about three months for maximum collagen regeneration to occur. Most patients notice an improvement in their skin texture in the first month after the treatment. It is recommended to have 2-3 treatments spaced at 6- 8 week intervals. The results of PRP rejuvenation are long term with most patients receiving touch up treatments at one year to further stimulate collagen production and continued facial rejuvenation.  For more immediate improvement, we can combine the benefits of the PRP facial rejuvenation with Botox, fillers, microneedling, and laser skin resurfacing.

Risks and Recovery
PRP Facial Rejuvenation is one of the lowest risk treatments because the process involves injecting a substance sourced from your own body. Mild injection site bruising, swelling or redness can occur but usually resolves after 3-7 days following the procedure and may be safely concealed with make-up shortly after the treatment. Other risks include infection and pain at injection sites. It is recommended that patients start taking Arnica, a homeopathic medication that naturally decreases bruising and swelling following procedures.

Precare instructions

  • HYDRATE: You should drink at least 8 glasses of water 24 hours before your treatment and at least 12 ounces of water the morning of your treatment. Failure to come hydrated may result in suboptimal blood draw.
  • If we are unable to draw your blood because you did not properly hydrate, then your appointment may be rescheduled and subject to cancellation fees.
  • Avoid makeup, retinoids, glycolic acids, vitamin C products for 1 week before your procedure.

About laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is permanent hair removal, which gives you freedom from the drudgery (and pain) of waxing, plucking, and shaving. Laser hair removal works best for people with darker hair, as the laser targets the pigment in hair. It is generally not effective for people with light hair (blonde, grey, or peach-fuzz-type hair).

What to expect with laser hair removal

The ultimate solution to unwanted hair requires a series of appointments for best results. You should expect:

  • A reduction of 20-40% per treatment
  • Four (4) to 8 treatments for best results, depending on the area of the body and color of the hair

[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”LASER SCAR REMOVAL”][vc_column_text]We use the 1540 ICON nonablative fractional laser to treat a variety of scars including:

  • Surgical Scars
  • Stretch Marks
  • Acne Scars

Typically a series of treatments are needed and a topical numbing cream is applied before most treatments.

Microneedling is a very simple, safe, effective, and minimally invasive therapeutic technique for skin rejuvenation, acne scars, scars/burn scars, hyperhidrosis, stretch marks, and many more.

Areas of the body that can be treated with microneedling:

  • Face
  • Arms
  • Neck
  • Legs
  • Décolletage
  • Abdomen
  • Hands
  • Back

Microneedling is especially safe for patients with skin of color because it has a much lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation than lasers or peels and can be used on all skin types unless your medical provider determines otherwise.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Micropunctures are created using microneedles which produce a controlled skin injury triggering a release of growth factors, new collagen & elastin. This process causes much less damage to the epidermis than dermal rolling or lasers and other ablative treatments, which helps to protect the new skin cell growth, providing for quicker healing and a much higher success rate.
  • We use a microneedling device called Collagin PIN. It utilizes a sterile disposable needle cartridge, holding either 12 or 36 micro-needles is glided across the skin with the microneedling device that mechanically induces a micro injury to the desired depth chosen for your skin by your medical provider. The microneedling creates micro channels which allows topicals and serums to reach the true targeted areas, producing a much more efficacious result.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH MICRONEEDLING

How many Microneedling treatments will I need?

  • Typically a series of 3-6 microneedling treatments is recommended, depending upon your area of correction or concern. Your skincare professional will ultimately determine a treatment schedule based on your individual goals and desires.
  • Treatments are usually spaced in 4 week intervals.
  • Patients with deep wrinkles, advanced sun damage, stretch marks, or any type of scars, usually require 6 or more treatments to achieve the desired results.

Will the microneedling procedure hurt?

  • Prior to your microneedling treatment, the medical provider will apply a topical numbing agent. Most people say they feel almost nothing after having been pretreated with a topical numbing agent.

How long will it take for me to see results from my microneedling treatment?

  • Most all patients see results after the first microneedling treatment. Individual results vary depending on individual skin health. It is most common to begin to see true changes or positive results as soon as 1-2 weeks after the first treatment. Many patients comment on positive changes in even less time. Often, change is noted within just a few days!!!

How long will my microneedling results last?

  • Microneedling produces results through the stimulation of growth factors and collagen, thereby promoting new skin cells to surface. As our skin ages, our collagen production naturally slows down. Your overall result will last longer when using an at home skin care regimen that includes a daily Retinoid product. Your medical provider is best suited to make this recommendation. New collagen & elastin formation in the skin are documented as visually and measurably improved as much as one year after just one treatment. However, a series of treatments is typically recommended for best results.

What will I look like after my microneedling treatment?

  • Microneedling is considered a no downtime treatment.
  • Immediately after your treatment your skin will look slightly pink to moderately red. Your medical provider will recommend skin care products for your post care based on your individual skin, which will greatly minimize these symptoms and enhance your overall results.

Can I use Makeup after having my microneedling treatment?

  • Directly after your treatment we recommend using only mineral based foundation, as it cannot build bacteria. You may go back to your regular foundation 4 days post treatment.
